About
I haven't just studied privacy regulation, I've lived it.
I started in privacy over 8 years ago, right as the GDPR was about to take effect and a new world of privacy was on the horizon. From there, I built and scaled our start-up's global data privacy program and our vendor compliance program, managing our compliance for privacy regulations in over 60 jurisdictions.
Later, I'd go on to lead our transition to "big-company" life after being acquired by one of the world's largest organizations, the London Stock Exchange Group, maintaining our standard of excellence while adjusting to the new challenges that came with our transition.
Now I help companies build their own privacy compliance programs, helping them use privacy as a selling point rather than a bottleneck.
The *actual* about me
I've always believed that it's good to get to know who you're getting into business with! Beyond my work, I enjoy lots of hobbies: swing dancing, camping, and drawing. I'm lucky enough to have travelled to 8 countries and 3 continents, but I'm always looking to add more to the list. My favorite place to visit is Peru, where my mother's side of the family is from.
My current book recommendation is Butter by Asako Yuzuki — be prepared to be hungry and intrigued!
